Location. The modern TRYP Muenchen hotel is located in Munich, Germany, 200 metres from Theresienwiese, site of the famous Oktoberfest. The old town, Stachus shopping area and the Cathedral Church of Our Lady are within one kilometre of the hotel. Munich's main train station is 500 metres away. Hotel Features. A tree-flanked entrance leads into the terracotta-hued lobby, which has a bar and 24- hour front desk. Overlooking a courtyard, the Mediterranean-style Bodega del Sol restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Themed buffets range from Bavarian to Spanish and international cuisine. The hotel's three conference rooms can accommodate up to 70 people. High-speed Internet access is available in public areas (surcharge). The TRYP Muenchen hotel's fitness centre offers cardiovascular and weight training equipment, sauna and solarium (surcharge). Guestrooms. The TRYP Muenchen hotel's 201 guestrooms are decorated in warm tones with cherry wood furnishings, patterned curtains and carpets. All rooms feature minibars, complimentary newspapers, and satellite television. Tiled bathrooms have bath/shower combinations. Expert Tip. The first Oktoberfest was held in Munich on 12 October, 1810, to celebrate the wedding of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig. The tradition continues today with millions of visitors attending the two-week beer festival every year.
